Hymn Tradition
Traditionally, hymn lyrics were written with the intent that a single poem would be sung to several different airs that fit its meter. The melody chosen for the day would be assigned to the lyrics during the church's song service. Sometimes the novelty of a brand new tune can help the listener focus on the meaning of a well-crafted set of lyrics. In that spirit, we have created these new melodies.
